Sam the Snowman.

"What's the matter, haven't you ever seen a talking snowman before?"
I like listening to Burl Ives all year round but he can sing christmas songs like no one else. His voice makes the Rudolph special in my opinion.

Robot Dog.

This is one page comic I did mainly because I wanted to draw a robot, robot dog, trees and a spaceship. The story isn't real heavy. Pencil version here. Rough here.

Deadball.

Another sticker. This one started as a Jon Wheat idea. He likes football.

Robot in the Woods.

I drew this today. Along the same lines as my last post, robot and trees. Technology and nature stuff is cool to me. How cool would it have been if Bob Ross threw a few robots in his paintings?

Landscape robot.

This is a big (about 3ft. by 2ft.) picture I did to hang on my wall. I tried to do it as quick as possible with just markers and pens. I like robots in nature settings just for contrast, it looks cool to me. I've got a one page comic about a robot dog that I'll be putting up sometime soon that's basically the same idea.

Chigurh.

"No Country for Old Men" is either my favorite movie or my second favorite movie of all time. It's either that or "Jaws" I can't decide which. If 'No Country" had a shark it would be no contest, but either way Anton Chigurh is an awesome character. On a conceptual and a visual level I'm a fan. I drew this picture a while ago when I had a bit of free time.

Stickers!

A few months ago we did a project at work involving Halloween stickers. I got to come up with ideas for different stickers with a spooky theme. It was really fun and I ended up with more spooky ideas than I needed. I also had a bunch of ideas for non-Halloween type stuff that I thought would be fun to draw. So when I got a few free minutes that's what I started doing. I wasn't the only one who enjoyed the project, Jon Wheat was in charge of inking and coloring my drawings and when he saw the extra stuff I was doing he asked to ink and color those as well. I was all for it and the stuff he came up with fits the spirit of the whole thing really well. Below is the first batch of my ideas that I put on paper. For a look at some of the color versions head over to Wheat's blog.

Prophet.

I'm a big fan of Stephen Platt's Prophet stuff from the 90's. I can't pull off the rendering as well as he does but I still like giving it a shot once and a while.

Big Gun Commando.

This is a commando guy I drew a while ago. Drawing giant guns is fun. Shooting them probably rules as well.

Facebones: the pencil version.

Dethklok.

The new Dethklok album came out today. I spent the bulk of my day drawing Facebones to celebrate.

Jabba the Hutt.

This is a sketch of Jabba I did a few years ago for fun. Jabba's palace and the Sarlacc Pit scene are probably my favorite parts of any Star Wars movie. There's a cool article about the construction of the Jabba puppet here.

Few more.

Here's some more. This blog might end up being a bit shark-heavy folks.

Another Shark.

Here's another one.
